Our Kryptonite

Humans are the race that seems unbeatable, unstoppable, like we have no weakness at all. Many humans walk the earth as if they are its ruler and all below them are just subjects to their command. But perhaps that very confidence is really our greatest weakness.
And our greatest weakness is our egos.
What is the definition of a great person, a good person? When you think of a good person, the first thing you think about is not about them, but others. You think about who they've affected and in what manner. These people that that one good person affected makes up the entire character of one person. In other words, this good person looked beyond one's self. They looked beyond their own ego and they become better than everyone else because of that. They bettered man's greatest weakness and that truly is an accomplishment that few have ever achieved. To better one's own ego is not something to boast about, but it is truly a remarkable feat. Looking past one's own ego, you've gained wisdom that belittles any other and when you think, when you feel, you think of others and because of that, others will think of you. It's an enlightenment that must be earned, not given, because by looking beyond yourself, you look and care upon another. And by caring for another more than yourself, you make that person happier than yourself. And that in itself is truly a gift, because happiness is a right, not a privilege. Few dictators and leaders have understood that much. And if everyone would look beyond one's own ego, one's own situation, then they would pay attention to that of others. And by doing that, someone would pay attention to your own situation and help. If this were true, then the world be much bright, much more optimistic. It is a world that we must strive for. A world of the people, not an individual.

Who am I? And Who are We?

Time will always endure. It will live as long as the Universe lives. But what we do with time is completely up to us.
I'm a person that lives in this Universe. I am of little importance, at least of right now, and when the time passes I will cease to exist in the Universe. That is just the way things work. It can't be stopped because you are playing someone else's game. But whether we're living, or we're dead, we all have the opportunity to create, to influence, and to change the way things are.
We humans have been blessed with the ability to think, communicate, and discuss. This is a gift no other creature has ever been given. We are the brains, almost literally, of this world. But this gift was given to us for a reason. We have a choice in our lives. This choice is whether or not to use this gift to destroy or to create.
We are not born bad or evil creatures. It's the choices we make, the decisions we come to, that determine who we are. But many humans have chosen the path of destruction, the path that leads to death and more death. And in the centuries that follow, you will only be remembered for that destruction. The human that commits destruction may not have bad intentions, but the end result is the one that determines whether the human is good or bad.
For those who chose to create, your path is a conceited one. There are many twists, turns, and road blocks. The path is one few follow to the very end and one that often is not found in many situations. But the act of creating, whether it would be creating a friendship or creating a home, is an act that does not always linger, but it will always be remembered when the time comes. Those who create may not be remembered by those in the future, but they are not looked down upon by their grandchildren. Their names are not those of heroes but of common people who do simply what needs to be done. Creaters mind others, care for others, and know that though not everybody is equal in intellect, stature, or any sort of aspect, everybody deserves the right to be treated as an equal.
The world runs on time. And time is all we have to spend in order to change the world.
